Georgia Trip, Urgent Rescues

Post 8 of 9

Call us crazy–we haven’t even LANDED but we have 8 puppies. We were notified that about 19 puppies are scheduled to be euthanized tomorrow without rescue. It’s a stretch to take 8, but this is who we took. We’re trying very hard for reprieve on the remaining puppies so we can network. Consider sending a donation via PayPal to gapeachrescue@gmail.com (anything helps!) to assist us with our relief mission.

There is very little information about your shelter. Where in Seattle is it? Did the eight “cute” puppies arrive? What is the cost and what do they get in the way of shots, deworming, etc that most shelters require. Do you know what breeds they are?

We are looking for a puppy who will be a medium dog, we have two cats, so mellow, sweet and smart would be a good temperament.

Can we visit the puppies?
Thank you,
Julie

Hi Julie,

Georgia Peaches is a puppy rescue organization, not a shelter. We depend on foster families to foster puppies we’ve brought from the southeast until they’ve been adopted. Therefore, the puppies are not in one central location, and neither for that matter are we.

Our adopt tab (http://peachpuppies.org/get-involved/adopt/) has information you’re looking for regarding adoption fees and what’s all included. It also goes through the steps as to how to adopt a puppy through Georgia Peaches. The majority – if not all – of our puppies are mixed breeds, but 100% love! The Urgent 8 left Georgia about 12 hours ago – so they should be here now – we’re very excited!

If you have any more questions, I would encourage you to contact us here: gapeachrescue@gmail.com

Hope that helps!
